Medical rehabilitation of patients and disabled peopledue to diseases of the nervous system: a regional aspect

Abstract
Introduction.Nervous system diseases are widespread and pose a significant social and economic problem. Maintaining the population’s health and ability to work determines the importance of medical rehabilitation in the field of neurology. In today’s environment, studying the organizational and functional aspects of medical rehabilitation at the regional level is relevant.Aim — analysis of the infrastructure of medical rehabilitation of patients and people with disabilities due to diseases of the nervous system in the Republic of Ingushetia.Materials and methods. Materials: Official data from the State Statistics Committee of Russia, the Ministry of Health of Russia, the Government of the Republic of Ingushetia, the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service for the North Caucasus Federal District, and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Ingushetia. Methods: data copying, statistical, analytical.Results.An analysis of the medical rehabilitation infrastructure for patients with nervous system diseases in the Republic of Ingushetia revealed that the region has created a three - stage system and a routing scheme for adult patients for medical rehabilitation using telemedicine technologies and maintaining a corresponding registry and monitoring of rehabilitation care for patients with nervous system diseases.Conclusions.Although the Republic of Ingushetia has established a three - stage system of medical rehabilitation and referral of adult patients for rehabilitation, a need has been identified for a more effective system of care across all stages of medical rehabilitation. It is important to establish early medical rehabilitation departments in medical organizations providing rehabilitation at the first stage; to equip medical organizations providing rehabilitation at the second and third stages with additional rehabilitation equipment; and to staff the Republic’s medical rehabilitation system with more senior specialists.
